Alpine Folk Painting (Bauernmalerei)
Monroe, WI
Third-generation Swiss-American Janeen Joy Babler lives in the rolling
hills of Green County, a haven for Swiss heritage in Wisconsin. Trained in Switzerland
and the United States, Janeen designs and hand paints decorative Bauernmalerei, traditional Swiss folk painting on interior
and exterior walls, furniture, and panels. You can see her excellent work on the walls of Swiss Alps Restaurant in Monroe, Bavaria Sausage Kitchen in Madison, the Amcore Bank in New Glarus,
