A native of Michoacan, Mexico, Jose makes two and three dimensional objects inspired by traditional
arts of Mexico, such as intricate Day of the Dead dioramas, santos (decorative images of saints), pasta de cana (carvings from dried cornstalks pasted together with natural paste),
papier maché masks and skulls, paper cuts, seed and bone carvings, and memory paintings. His presentations can focus on any of the above.
