Dutchman-style Polka Music
Kewaskum, WI
The Goodtimes Dutchmen dance band specializes in German-style polka. They
also play Polish and Slovenian style polka. Their main program format is performance. For other programs they tell the stories of how the members of this family band learned to play music, discuss the
roles of different instruments in a polka band, contrast an accordion with a concertina, and demonstrate the differences in styles of polka (German vs. Polish vs. Slovenian).
