Croatian Music and Dance
Milwaukee, WI
 Since
1985, the Milwaukee CFU Tamburitzans have been performing the heritage music and
dance of Croatia. This dynamic youth ensemble has 40 members ranging in age from
8 to 21. They perform on the national folk instrument of Croatia, tamburitza,
sing in Croatian, and dance in traditional regional outfits. Programs with the Milwaukee CFU Tamburitzans could include discussion about the regional costumes of Croatia and the songs and dances associated with them, as well as the origins and history of tamburitza instruments and their various roles in the ensemble.
