Norwegian Carving
Barronett, WI
Phillip Odden is a master carver of Norwegian-style furniture and household furnishings. Together with
his wife Else Bigton, they produce items commissioned by people across the US and in other nations as well. Phil’s presentation will focus on Scandinavian folk art and culture, including how the
history of Scandinavian folk art relates to Scandinavian culture in the Midwest. He will also demonstrate wood carving and give a slide show/lecture.
Phillip and Else raise and train Norwegian Fjord horses too. They combine them
with traditional decorative carriages for their presentations.
