Decorated Birch Bark Baskets
Wittenberg, WI
Christine
Okerlund is an outstanding maker of birch bark baskets that she edges in sweet
grass and embroiders with porcupine quills. Her quill work of traditional Ojibwe
floral and geometric motifs often completely covers the baskets’ lids.
Christine’s programs include lectures, exhibits, or hands-on
classes.
