Scandinavian Music
Brainerd, MN

Skålmusik is a five-piece ensemble that performs traditional Scandinavian and Scandinavian- American dance and vocal music. The members are descendants of immigrant Swedes and Norwegians who settled in Minnesota. It’s said they really know how to “put the yump in it!” They play heritage music on fiddle, accordion, pump organ, guitar and string bass to songs that are both poignant and humorous. Their school programs expand on their performances, teaching and interpreting their music, all while having fun.
